Palm Springs Casino Weekend Entertainment

I love living in the desert! The weekend’s coming and it’s time to play! One of the best benefits of desert life is the entertainment scene the Indian casinos offer. Look at the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage for example. Do you like barbecue? They offer it poolside from 4-7 p.m. every Friday. As for music and dancing, the band Mischief plays hits from the ’70s and ’80s as well as current rock and pop in The Lounge. And at 9 and 11 p.m. Saturday in The Lounge, the tribute band No Duh performs the music of No Doubt. Across the valley in Indio, the Fantasy Springs Casino Rock Yard venue is also having tribute bands perform. The Mount San Jacinto State Park has announced that the backcountry hiking trails are now open

PALM SPRINGS, CA - May 3, 2008 - The Mount San Jacinto State Park has announced that the backcountry hiking trails are now open. Overnight camping areas will remain closed.The first Tram up Monday through Friday is 10am; Saturday and Sunday 8am, last Tram up 8pm and the last Tram down 9:45pm. Visitors to the Tramway's Mountain Station can enjoy lunch or dinner at Peaks fine dining restaurant or Pines Cafe, a casual dining restaurant. 1st Annual Desert Dog Run, an event to benefit Guide Dogs of the Desert, Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.

Saturday, May 10 will be the 1st Annual Desert Dog Run with $150.00 in cash prizes up for grabs for the highest poker hand. The wilderness area is closed to extended hiking and overnight camping until further notice.
