Celebrate Spring at the Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert

The Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert invites you for fun filled activities this March so mark your calendars for the following fun activities and events.

The Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert proudly presents its annual Spring Festival on Saturday, March 22nd, 2008 from 1 PM - 3 PM. Join them for an afternoon of fun activities including: Bunny Hop Contest, Easter Egg Hunt, Mini Duck Pluck, Bounce House, Sand Art Eggs, Bunny Ear Hats, Face Painting and Water Color Flowers. Don't miss out - reserve your tickets and picnic lunch today!

Festival Admission tickets are available at $5.00 per person and pre-ordered picnic lunches are $8. Lunches are all organic and include chips and fruit. All lunches must be pre-ordered by March 20th, 2008. Festival admission tickets and pre-order picnic lunches are available for purchase at the museum gift store.

Spring Break is here and so is their Spring Discovery Camp for children ages 5-9. Starting on Monday, March 24, 2008 and running through Friday, March 28th, 2008, campers will explore a different themes each day with creative crafts, games and stimulating projects designed to motivate and enthuse children. Exciting new themes include: Extraordinary Eggs, Bonjour France, Four-Footed Friends, Beautiful Butterflies and It's Easy Being Green. Sign up for the day or the entire week! The camp starts at 8:30 AM and ends at 5:30 PM each day. Cost is $30 per day for members and $35 per day for non-members. Pre-registration is highly suggested. Also, the Children's Museum will be hosting our first Spring Renaissance Faire from Monday, March 24th 2008 through Friday, March 28th, 2008 from 11 AM to 3 PM. Explore the medieval arts and crafts, meet a lovely wench or dashing young rogue, or come dressed as one of many colorful medieval characters. Barter your magic stones in the marketplace - let the fun and celebration begin!

For more family fun, the Children's Museum will be opened extended hours, from 9 AM to 6 PM on the following days: Saturday, March 22nd, 2008; Friday March 28th, 2008 and Saturday March 29th, 2008. The Museum will be closed on Sunday, March 23rd, 2008 in celebration of the Easter holiday.
